I have officially created my “Web log.” Do you have a word that makes you cringe just hearing it? Um, yeah, that’s the word ‘blog’ for me, so you won’t hear me call it that any time in the near future. I think that word is part of the reason I have been putting it off for so long. But, here I am, introducing my new Web log with the most appropriate image I could think of for the occasion.

Annika did this for a school art competition. She set the whole thing up — metered the light for the correct camera settings, laid out string for the word “WOW” (that was the theme of the competetion) and used my remote shutter release to take 11 pictures (herself 10 times, laying on the string so she knew the correct place to be and one of just the grass,) and then she did all of the Photoshop work by herself. Everyone at the school who has seen it has been completely impressed (I know I am!) so we will see what the judges think next month.
